Manager, HVAC Shop

Reporting to the Senior Facilities Engineer, you will direct the operational activities of the HVAC shop, coordinate and oversee services provided by HVAC mechanics and related trades, and integrate work with outside contractors. Working closely with the Managers of Facilities & Construction Management, the incumbent will promote uniform standards of operation, establish priorities and service levels within a set budget and develop recommendations regarding operational planning. The Manager will ensure that the work performed by the HVAC shop adheres to NYC building codes and University policies, and will participate in architectural and engineering planning for new projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS
To you qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree and 6 years' related experience with installation, maintenance and operations of large HVAC systems. Renovation and construction project experience required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read blueprints and schematics and have basic knowledge of NYC building codes. Computer literacy required. Four years' progressively responsible managerial experience preferred. Applicants for this position may be subject to a full background investigation.
