Maintenance Support Technician (USA) Ref: TCSInstUS_MTL_0609_6023 Reporting directly to the Manager, Maintenance Support, the Maintenance Support Technician is responsible: · Support PPSS Emergency 911 call handling systems; · Provide on site customer support and problem resolution services; · Provide remote support to customers; · Works with Deployment Managers in ensuring installations are delivered on time and meet customer satisfaction expectations; · Produce progress reports to ensure the project team is kept current of installation status and issues. · Work with engineering staff on special projects and problem resolution. REQUIREMENTS
You must possess the following Qualifications: · College degree in Electronic or Telecommunication; · Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position; · Very good knowledge of Microsoft networking, Ethernet and TCP/IP as well as Windows NT/2000 servers and workstations; · Good knowledge of hardware such as hubs, switches, servers, workstations as well as knowledge of basic electronics and telephony; · Knowledge of Meridian, Norstar and Avaya systems as well as Microsoft SQL server. MCSE certification is an asset; · Strong analytical skills and customer focus; · Ability to work independently and in a team; · Demonstrate sound judgement in decision making; · Good communication skills; · Must be willing to be on-call weeknights and weekends.
