Maintenance Services E&I Supervisor

Responsible for Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance, construction and repair of Branch equipment

This individual will develop and prioritize weekly and daily work plans based on work orders

Work with employees to correct deficiencies. Implement disciplinary procedures. Investigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary

Develop plans and coordinates the work for assigned projects and responsibilities, which may include project management, cost estimates and program development. Coordinates work with other sites and departments

Responsibilities also include: the safe and efficient management of the team, coaching and development of employees, administering company policies, supporting a team based environment, adherence to environmental policies, assessing employee training needs, tracking team costs, and maintaining appropriate records.

This position requires participation in the Runzheimer vehicle program

Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by advanced leadership training or education up to or including a Bachelor’s degree in a closely related area

Five years experience as a Journeyman Maintenance Electrician, Instrumentation Technician, equivalent training or combination of training and experience

Requires knowledge of the processes with electrical, instrumentation and process control skills.

Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employees.

Ability to plan, prioritize, direct and manage a diverse number of operational areas, projects and activities.

Skilled in preparing, defending, monitoring and administering budgets

Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong computer skills

Strong organizational skills

Excellent safety record and working knowledge of Electrical Safe Practices

No active disciplinePreferred Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience

Experience in both Electrical and Instrumentation crafts

Coaches, Leaders and Facilitators training or equivalent

Able to utilize personal computers and associated software, including Microsoft Office, Business Objects and Ellipse applications

Knowledge of the uses and applications of personal computers/software to develop process maps and perform statistical and graphical analysis

Skill in facilitating a wide variety of training to diverse audiences

Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of management, employees, business and professional groups and the general publicCriteria/Conditions (specific background and skills):
Work is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electric shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes, or airborne particles

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see

Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday

Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, or manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, safety glasses, respirator, steel toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
