Maintenance Assistant I - (DW13168)
Candidate will maintain building in operational condition during normal and emergency hours. Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems throughout the building. Perform employee workstation relocations which includes the installation of office furniture, moveable walls, and other office equipment. Change filters and belts on mechanical systems and perform preventive maintenance throughout the building. Provide set up of classrooms /conference rooms and cafeteria as needed. Work on minor carpentry projects as needed, wall painting, light bulb replacement, and carpet tile replacement. Snow removal, removal and ice control responsible for walk ways and parking lot areas to ensure employee safety. Maintain company cars and trucks. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Must be "on call " 24 hours a day on an assigned week and emergency basis.
High school education. Prior maintenance experience required performing various maintenance assignments (two years minimum). Electric/Mechanical background essential. Should possess good judgment skills while working with minimal supervision. Individual should possess a basic knowledge of facilities operations to include, mechanical, electrical, plumbing. Physical requirements include ability to lift 50 lbs. work from a ladder or man lift, manual dexterity and strength to operate furniture relocation equipment when moving items weighing more than 50 pounds. Must possess a valid New Hampshire driver's license.
