Lead Service Tech (11257)

Provide guidance and direction to Neighborhood/Service Technicians and provide back up to other technical personnel and fill in for immediate supervisor as needed. In addition to Neighborhood Tech I, II & III responsibilities:

May be required to work various shifts in the event of power outages or serious service problems.Must be available for On-call every weekend. Train, direct and monitor activities of service technician personnel.Assigns work orders to individual service personnel and re-route such personnel to meet emergency requirements.Handle customer complaints if service personnel are unable to resolve problem and appease customer. Understand and troubleshoot reverse problems between the modem and headend.Perform vehicle inspections monthly for assigned service technicians and oversee and implement adherence to BHN maintenance policy guidelines. Evaluate the performance of assigned technicians and report the results of such evaluation to management. Overtime is required.
REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or equivalent.
Recognized specialized courses in electronics.
Must complete all required courses as specified in Tech I/II/III or any division approved class equivalent. Able to certify technicians in ladder climbing.Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal communications and mechanical aptitude. Ability to solve and repair technical problems with customers and technicians through effective verbal communication. Be proficient in the use of all electronic test equipment and appropriate PC’s. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license; class “D” if required. Pole climbing is desirable. Must possess and exhibit leadership abilities.Experience Required:A minimum of two years as a Neighborhood Tech III.
