I&C Technician

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: ServicesResponsibilities: As an I&C Technician for GE O&M (Operations & Maintenance), you will be responsible for performing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on all electrical and instrumentation and control (I&C) equipment.
Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical switchgear, process controls, transmitters, gauges, emissions control equipment, and other electrical, instrumentation and control equipment in accordance with plant and vendor procedures. Receive, unload and correctly store parts and supplies in the plant.
Maintain, calibrate and repair plant IC&E devices
Perform routine troubleshooting activities.
Assist in developing PM procedures
Implement plant improvements and modifications as assigned
Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures.
Provide documentation of work performed, supplies used, and other items that will be required to plan and control maintenance activities. Prepare records and reports as required.
Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean safe work environment and professional appearance.
Assist in plant operations activities as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalency or Vocational/Technical Education in Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls.
Minimum of three years operation and maintenance experience in power generation facility or process plant.
Proficient with the use of power and precision tools.
Must have prior training and knowledge of Digital Control Systems and ability to use and modify computer programs.Desired: Minimum of two years technical training in electrical, instrumentation or controls.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical and process drawings.
Experience with GE MKVI or MKV Control Systems.
Experience with GE EX2000 or EX2100.
Experience with LS200 or LS2100.
Proficiency with mechanical systems and repairs.
Proactive in solving issues and making improvements.
Works and communicates well in team environment.
Strong mathematical, oral, and written communication skills.
Ability to stand, walk, for up to 8 hours continuosly. Able to climb ladders and stairs.General: This position is located in Roopville, Georgia. Partial relocation will be provided.
