Fuels Technician

Job Level: TechnicalBrief Description: See Full DescriptionFull Description: Job responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following: Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Fuel Technician reports directly to the Control Room Operator to complete the following: safety operation of receiving, storage, processing/delivering of raw fuel to boiler Operation of fuel-moving heavy equipment proper equipment maintenance under the Preventive Maintenance program repair maintenance environmental compliance (air permits & storm water permits) assist mechanics and I&E as needed perform plant outage work above normal work scope as directed monitor/assist outside Contractors as needed scheduling The Fuel Technician is also responsible for logging, data entry, reporting, and fuel reconciliation. This position also requires walking, sitting for extended periods of time, stair climbing, and lifting of greater than 50 lbs. Types of equipment, machinery, tools, etc., used on the job: High capacity chip dozer, front-end loader, JCB loader 480 and 4160 volt Electrical Distribution Fuel receiving hoppers and truck dumpers Fuel reclaimers; belt conveyors; Screw conveyors; belt magnets Fuel shredders Plant utilities, air compressors Various hand and power tools Vehicles or moving equipment driven as part of the job: This position requires the ability to operate a chip dozer, front-end loader, forklift or high-lift, and to drive the plant pickup. Work Hours: 5:00 A.M. To 3:00 P.M. Days/Week: 4 Days Per Week 10 hr. rotating shifts, monthly No Scheduled Overtime The salary will be commensurate with skills, abilities and experience.
