Field Service Mechanic - Compression

We have an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Mechanic.
Summary: Provides service to customers by repairing and maintaining compression machinery which may consist of equipment such as compressors, engines, motors, production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.Provides service to customers ensuring their satisfaction.
2.Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.3.Dismantles machines.4.Moves machinery and equipment.5.Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.6.Constructs foundation for machines.7.Aligns machines and equipment.8.Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.9.Operates engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.10.Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.11.Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.12.Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.13.Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.14.Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.15.Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.16.Repairs or replaces defective parts.17.Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.18.Lubricates and cleans parts.19.Starts devices to test their performance.20.Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.21.Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.22.Repairs electrical equipment.Supervisory Responsibilities : This job may supervise field support personnel.
