Failure Analysis Technician

The technician is primarily responsible for electrical failure analysis of electronic microcircuits, including thickfilm hybrids, thickfilm substrates, ASICs (both packaged and die level). The technician will be a key member of both process and product improvement teams determining the priorities for failure analysis work and will do technician level failure analysis work required for line failures and test reject failures. In addition, the technician will be required to do data gathering and data analysis that is necessary for continuous process improvements and process control on the customers product lines. Job Responsibilities include: Electronic failure analysis of electronic modules that are test rejects or customer line returns. Generating rework work-orders for failed components. Database queries to find failure paretos for production line products. Informal and formal yield monitoring and reporting. Developing corrective action for production line issues.


Requirements:

1)Associates degree in electronics or work equivalent.
2)Excellent electronic troubleshooting skills including the use of common electronic test instrumentation.
3)Good teamwork skills.
4)Good written and verbal communication skills.
5)Demonstrated high initiative for problem solving and process improvement activities.
6)Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Additional experience wanted:
1)Experience generating database queries.
2)Unix script writing skills.
3)Experience with statistical process control methods.
4)Experience with 8-D problem solving.
