FIELD SERVICE MECHANICS

Repair, recondition, service and prepare CAT and other Empire line allied machines and components for delivery. Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and failures of machines, engines, machine systems and components. Work in adverse weather and other adverse situations presented by field working conditions. Accept all out-of-town assignments requiring extended overnight stays. Provide on-the-job training to helpers as assigned. Communicate, orally and in writing, information, instructions and explanations to associates, customers and management regarding equipment conditions, problems and recommendations.

POSITIONS AVALABLE IN MESA, TUCSON, KINGMAN, SAFFORD, MORENCI, FLAGSTAFF, AND YUMA.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to repair and service any Caterpillar (CAT) machine in the field with little supervision.
Must have mechanical knowledge of CAT machine components and systems, how they function, and the theory behind their design.
Must have interpersonal and communication skills to professionally work with people and to write reports.
Must be able to organize jobs into a logical operational sequence and direct assigned helpers.
Must know Empire and CAT Service Systems, procedures and publications, and be able to accurately apply technical data to repair activities.
Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment to evaluate CAT equipment problems and repair solutions, and make economic parts replacement decisions.
Thorough mechanical knowledge of CAT products.
Must be bondable.
Must pass job related company physical.
Must be able to communicate in English.
Must have a valid drivers license/CDL.
