Equipment Tech

Candidate will be responsible for the overall maintenance of Whataburger’s electrical and mechanical equipment for assigned region(s). Position keeps Facilities Manager and Lead Cosmetic Technician apprised of any outstanding issues concerning the Company’s electrical or mechanical equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Protects and promotes the Whataburger Brand.

· Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains all Whataburger facilities.

· Manages vehicle and its inventory.

· Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications and local/national electric codes.

· Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with Company safety procedures and in line with Whataburger requirements.

· Advises Restaurants of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical and mechanical equipment and components.

· Informs appropriate management of potential problems and inherent dangers.

· Maintains Company required performance and maintenance records for identifies equipment.

· Performs preventative maintenance functions, as directed.

· Documents work completed, inventories items, purchases and time worked on related documents.

· Assumes additional responsibilities, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· College hours in technical-related courses preferred.

· Minimum three (3) years field experience in the electrical, HVAC and restaurant equipment repair field.

· Demonstrated safety consciousness.

· Valid driver’s license.

· Proven ability to work with all levels within the organization.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Proven ability as a team player with strong work ethic.

· Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification preferred.

· Some overtime, as appropriate.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
