Equipment Maintenance Technician-Machine Operator

Under general or moderate supervision, complete work orders issued to the Production Machine Shop, perform preventative maintenance activities to all ancillary and logistical components, and perform in-process inspection

Responsibilities:
-Prepare raw materials for processing
-Load and unload components to support the daily production schedule
-Wash, rinse, and dry completed components
-Package, label, and prepare components for stocking
-Comply with machinery manuals, schematics, manufacturing procedures, and inspection procedures
-May work from verbal instructions
-Will troubleshoot equipment/machinery and implement effective solutions
-Use considerable independant judgement to ensure proper procedures are used to produce quality products
REQUIREMENTS
An ideal candidate will have had machine operator experience in a machine shop with large scale equipment. Experience with preventive maintenance on these machines is needed as well

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently
-Must have the ability to work with and assemble small objects and component parts
-Ability to operate common office equipment (calculator, PC, telephone, fax machine etc.)
-Must have very good visual acuity and demonstrate fine motor skills

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be able to follow detailed instructions, manufacturing procedures, and inspection procedures
-Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately
-Must be able to communicate equipment/machinery issues to others
-Must be able to observe, analyze, and correct routine component/machine/equipment issues using independent judgement

SKILLS REQUIRED:
-Ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, and test/inspection equipment
-Basic math, reading and writing skills
-MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH MACHINE SHOP EQUIPMENT (CNC, MILL, LATHE, etc.)
