E&I Technician

Technical Come join our innovative and growing team. Washington Safety Management Solutions (WSMS), a division of Washington Group International, is seeking an E&I Technician. JOB DUTIES: Primary responsibilities are to perform maintenance and calibration of all facility electrical and instrumentation and control systems including pneumatic, analog and digital components. Principal functions include: 8 Install, test, maintain and troubleshoot facility electrical equipment, components and systems. 8 Determine root causes of deficiencies and perform routine and emergency repairs. 8 Install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain facility instrumentation and control systems to ensure safe reliable operation of the facility. 8 Perform all duties and responsibilities assigned by the Maintenance Manager for the benefit of the facility that may not be specifically stated in this position description. 8 Respond to call-out and be available for shift work or overtime when necessary to support plant operations. 8 Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures for facility equipment 8 Perform routine maintenance on all electrical switchgear components, breakers, transformers and power distribution equipment. QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate should possess either a high school diploma and six plus years experience in a power plant or industrial process facility as an electrical and instrumentation technician or an associate degree in instrumentation or electrical maintenance with two years of work related experience. Additionally, the following skills are required: 8 Have an excellent safety attitude and demonstrate the ability to perform principal functions safely. 8 Be proficient with the use and interpretation of schematics, electrical and electronic prints. 8 Be proficient with the use of electrical tools and test equipment. 8 Have a basic understanding of National Electric Code, EC 2005. 8 Have a basic understanding of hoisting and rigging practices. 8Be physically capable of entering and working in confined spaces. 8Be physically capable of climbing stairs, ladders and scaffolds. 8 Have the ability to work in a team environment with limited supervision.
