Die Cast Supervisor

Will be supporting the production environment to ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance with company’s quality requirement; reviews quality trends to prevent or reduce defects, determining problem causes and initiate actions to correct them, convincing others of the validity of potential solutions; assists in identifying root causes and developing countermeasures to problems and implement corrective actions such as: changes to operation and quality standards for operations, installation of fixtures, changes in work stations and product flow, changes in inspection analysis and changes in process procedures
REQUIREMENTS


3-5 years manufacturing experience in quality engineering field; may substitute education in a related field ; Experience working in a production and die casting environment; Must understand TS/ISO quality systems standards; Understanding of Statistical Process Control and use of 7 quality tools to analyze data and develop countermeasures, Utilize Plan, Do, Check, Action Cycle (PDCA); Ability to read and interpret machine, casting and machining blueprints; Must understand and fulfill PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) system requirements; Must be able to read and comprehend casting and machining blueprints; Must understand GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and HES standards; Must understand and be capable of using MSA (measuring system analysis) and Gage R&R for validation of measuring equipment; Must be capable of creating FMEA’s after collecting information from cross-functional teams; Ability to use Microsoft Office suite including WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, AND OUTLOOK - knowledge of MICROSOFT PROJECT and CAD (CATIA) a plus
