Converter Turnaround Maintenance Technician

The successful candidate(s) will have a critical role as a key member of the converter turnaround crew an integral part of the converter/anode maintenance team.

The candidate(s) must hold safety as a core value at work and off the job and support the "One More Zero Day" philosophy.

The individual(s) must understand the impact that quality of turnaround maintenance has on converter availability and cost to the operation.

Working of rotating shifts and overtime may be required.

The successful candidate will look for improvements, cost saving ideas which will be communicated utilizing the six point suggestion program.
-METALS/HERA training or completion of course within six months.

Demonstrated welding abilities. (may be required to be tested & certified).

Demonstrated brick mason abilities.

Demonstrated operation of Brokk equipment.

Must be able to work in a regulated environment including the exposure to extreme heat.

Strong interpersonal skills and being an active team player are essential.

A strong background (5-10) years of experience in industrial maintenance.Criteria/Conditions (specific background and skills):
