Construction Superintendent

The primary responsibility of the Construction Superintendent is to coordinate all work of the various trades, building official(s), and professionals involved, to ensure that their work is consistent with the construction schedule and of sound construction practices, specifically, Standard Pacific’s Scopes of Work (SOW’s).



Duties will Include:


Effectively supervise the coordination of the trade foreman (or designated representative), building official(s), design professionals and colleagues to ensure all those involved achieve expected performance levels.


On a daily basis, the Construction Superintendent is responsible for walking each house, checking framing for aesthetics and compliance to plans and specs, verifying all options have been properly installed and completed, walking with city inspectors, and ensuring that site and homes are kept clean.


Manage and train Assistant Construction Superintendents.


Should additionally be available to attend weekly team meetings, conduct new buyer orientation meetings, construction manager tours, successfully interact and work with General Superintendents, sales, project management, purchasing, and customer service.





Qualifications


Candidates Will Need to Meet the Following Qualifications:


Must have at least 2 to 4 years of experience in the residential construction


Will need to possess a thorough understanding of rough grade plans, improvements plans, precise grade plans, architectural and structural plans, landscape plans, wall and fence plans, retaining wall plans, soils reports, dry utilities reports, and sound/acoustic reports. Must be able to demonstrate this knowledge by navigating through a set of these plans and/or reports.
