The Customer Service Technician I installs, maintains and repairs station facilities and equipment. The Technician will be required to climb poles, use a hovel, pick and other tools to dig and repair cable, and may be required to work in a CEV. Attendance, conduct and performance will be considered in the selection process



JOB REQUIREMENTS


1. Combination of education and relevant experience totaling 2 years post-high school or equivalent.

2. Minimum of six months experience in installation of station facilities.

3. Valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record. Driving record of successful candidate will be verified through the state's driver's license bureau.

4. Ability to visually identify all colors used in telephone cable.

5. Must be able to handle 28-foot extension ladder and lift objects in excess of 75 lbs.

6. Completed basic courses in pole climbing, OSP, I&R, basic cable transmission or equivalent job experience.

7. Proficient PC skills.

8. May be required to work in CEV.
