Biomed Technician

Performs major inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on movable medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, incubators, suction/compressors and monitors.

Performs skilled work of routine difficulty under supervision
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Associates Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology from a two-year college or technical school and 2 years of biomedical technology experience; or an associates degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school and three years biomedical experience and/or equivalent combination of education or experience. (Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics preferred)

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on at least two of the following three types of movable medical equipment: Ventilators, Monitors, Pumps. NOTE: Please submit a list of the moveable medical equipment, by manufacturer, on which you have both preventive maintenance and repair experience.

Must be familiar with use of voltmeters, frequency counters and oscilloscopes

Must be able to use hand tools appropriately and safely

Must be able to solder well

Must be able to properly lift and/or move up to 50lbs

Knowledge of internet, inventory and word processing software
