Job Description:Work within the Mobile Technology team that designs and supports both the Wireless Mobile Device(s) and Enterprise Infrastructure, including the Corporate Campus, Remote Facilities, Stores, and Distribution Centers. Interact as a technical liaison, as well as design mobile solutions, to meet business requirements.
Responsibilities: Support a variety of mobile retail platforms to include DOS, Windows CE.Net, and Windows based devices (i.e. Symbol 960SL, VRC 8946, WS1060, MC50, MC9090, and Tablet PCs).
Install and support enterprise client applications functioning on wireless mobile devices (Wavelink Avalanche and Intellisync Mobile Suite).
Configure, implement and support wireless security standards for the wireless infrastructure (i.e. ACL’s, WEP, WPA, and Radius Authentication).
Maintain and support of wireless environments to ensure a high-level system availability and wireless RF performance.
Monitoring and maintaining the wireless infrastructure with Enterprise Management Systems to include Wavelink, Concord, SNMP Scripts/Tools.
Familiarized with a variety wireless analysis tools to include spectrum analyzers, wireless network sniffers and probes, and common industry tools.
Provide ongoing updated documentation for the wireless network and mobile device configurations.
Interface with both Tier-1 and Tier-2 support groups on an ongoing basis.
Participate in the Recommendation, Procurement, and Implementation of Product and Service solutions.
Test, propose and recommend mobile solutions for improving productivity and business efficiencies.
On call support services after normal business hours.
Some travel required.
Qualifications:Minimum 1 to 2 years of wireless configurations, implementation, and support, of Wireless Networks, including project management. CWNA, CWSP, & CWAP wireless certifications and programming experience (Java, VB Basic, and Visual Studio) are a plus.
