Windows Administrator

Purpose: TITLE: Windows Administrator DUTIES: Perform production support of Windows 2003/2000 application server environment.
Provide pager coverage in these environments.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems.
Recommend approaches for capacity management.
Research, recommend, develop, test and implement infrastructure enhancements.
Execute approved changes and report progress.
Regularly provide information on the server configuration, security settings and performance levels.
Consult with customer to gather requirements and develop system configuration.
Coordinate implementation of systems based on customer requirements.
Maintain meticulous cable management in server cabinets.
Provide service to demanding, expert users and developers.
Develop disaster recovery methodologies and routinely verify process with drills.
Improve the automation and management of servers.
Participate in projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years experience supporting multi-node Windows server network and domain architecture. Web hosting and clustering architecture support a plus.
Minimum 2 years experience supporting HP server hardware. Must be familiar with server hardware and software support, including RAID configurations.
Experience supporting systems in an enterprise class data center.
Experience supporting systems in an enterprise with - thorough change control process.
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) preferred.
Solid understanding DNS, WINS, and TCP/IP and networking in general.
Willingness to work a modified work week; including nights, weekends or holiday work.
Travel between local offices to support multiple data centers and attend regularly scheduled meetings.
Knowledge of network architecture and troubleshooting.
Minimum one-year experience with remote access systems.
Minimum two-year experience with enterprise monitoring systems.
Excellent communication skills. Technical writing experiences a plus.
Microsoft Internet Information Server and SMS Server experience preferred.
Experience with scripting to deploy software a plus.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
