Windows 2000-2003 System Administrator
The individual will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, integrity, security, and efficiency of all systems in the target domains, as well as for implementation of innovations and fixes. The individual will also manage the installation and smooth operation of multiple servers in a Microsoft 2000-2003 environment and a network of approximately 50 workstations.

Duties/Responsibilities May Include:
-- Develop and implement technical operations policies and procedures that ensure computer system reliability and stability.
-- Develop and implement disaster and recovery policies and procedures including procedures for staff response, security breaches and other problems - ensuring that upon failure the system can be restored in a viable state as quickly as possible.
-- Recommend technical operation changes, upgrades, maintenance and modifications to improve service and efficiency.
-- Notify staff and end users in advance of alterations, maintenance and required shutdowns.
-- Provide technical support for workstations.
-- Monitor information service activity and produce statistical and usage reports as directed, both online and printed.
-- Develop and implement policies and procedures for backup and restoration and for start-ups and shutdowns.
-- Develop and document site security access management, including passwords, machine and device locations and names and trust relationships.
-- Develop and implement policies and procedures that document system performance and change, operation activities, system problems and system logs.
-- Install programs and operating system updates, including changes in hardware and software configuration.
-- Organize and carry out a documented system of hardware and software file organization and structure, including kernel and disk tuning, maintenance and repair.
-- Maintain the security and integrity of the network, servers and staff PCs including anti-virus protection (including e-mail).
-- Manage e-mail system, including Exchange server.
-- Manage collaboration, change management tools.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
-- Write and document scripts to automate as many of the system administration tasks as possible.
-- Troubleshoot the system as necessary.
-- Provide system analysis and support for BCR projects and developments.Job Requirements
Five Plus years of progressive experience in Microsoft Windows network / system administration, Internet information services, computer networking and e-mail management.
