Vente Director (IT & Product Development)

Director, Information Technology and Product DevelopmentVente, a division of Experian, is a leading online consumer data collection and intelligence gathering organization. Their broad database and market intelligence provides marketers with the most timely information needed to identify consumers, track brand perception, test new products and line extensions, and reduce time to field and the costs of ongoing research. The company’s key client groups include Fortune 1000 and entrepreneurial companies, market research organizations, as well as brokers, compilers, and agencies.
The Director, IT and Product Development is responsible for leading a group of IT professionals who are responsible for ensuring that information systems meet user and business requirements. This position is also responsible for identifying and helping to champion and manage the development of new products and existing product modifications for Experian’s self-reported permission marketing and on-line market research business. Primary responsibilities include providing technical leadership, identifying and creating product development strategies to maximize revenue, managing and developing IT talent, participating with senior management in achieving business unit financial goals, and providing consultative support and technical expertise to guide and facilitate strategic business objectives.
The position reports to and works closely with the President of the business unit. Qualified candidates must have demonstrated leadership and new product introduction success in the consumer online marketing or e-commerce industries. Experience in the online direct marketing industry, including on-line research services, media, promotions and IT management is preferred.•Contribute to success of business unit by obtaining a thorough understanding of our clients’ business objectives and being able to design and present solutions to match the need. Also critical to be well-versed in Vente’s products to be able to provide thought leadership, consultation and strategic partnering. •Accomplish human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, training, coaching, counseling and developing employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions; recommending and improving compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
•Achieve IT operational objectives by establishing departmental financial and operational goals and objectives; contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; driving strategy; resolving problems, implementing change, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills and Knowledge:
•A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
•A minimum of eight (8) years related experience in the direct marketing/on-line marketing industry or highly related field
•Must have strong administrative and management skills including the ability to drive projects to successful conclusion with minimal supervision
•Had direct responsibility for, and successfully managed, a complex, medium to high volume web based technology platform that included high service levels, high data complexity, and strong redundancy.
•Outstanding interpersonal communication/written skills; must be comfortable working with senior levels of organizations
•Must be highly organized with excellent time management skills and have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
•Ability to set clear expectations, to motivate and manage assigned direct reports
