Unix Tester

Purpose: Job Description: The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing a java/weblogic application in a unix/oracle environment. The candidate should possess skills necessary to develop/execute Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Cases based on Requirements, Analysis/Design and Interface Control Documents in accordance with accepted testing methodologies.

The person will be actively communicating with Management, the Development Team, and End Users/Customers to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and report status. A positive attitude and good social skills are a must. The candidate should be self motivated and be able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, and must be willing to work extended hours when necessary to meet schedules.

Skills Required:
- Strong UNIX and Oracle skills are essential
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software test of client/server,
- Have strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCPIP, SMTP, HTTP, and a general understanding of telecommunications switching) and be familiar with the full software development lifecycle.
- Good communication skills, self motivation and positive attitude


Additional Skills are a plus:
- Automated testing experience (Mercury WinRunner or QuickTest Pro and LoadRunner)
- Weblogic experience is preferred
- Bachelors in Computer Science or Information Systems required.Classification:ContractCompensation:
