Unix Team Manager

Responsible for Electronic Communications UNIX-based products, managing subject matter expert teams of production engineers.  Key contributor in creation, development and management of systems engineering activities. Interfaces with business areas to ensure all initiatives support business strategies and goals. Supervises, guides and provides technical support and training to the engineering staff and assists the Tech Mgr in the review and evaluation of the work of the staff, planning, organizing and controlling the activities of the section and in the development of the overall project plans and timetables. Responsible for staffing, performance management and compensation decision making. Typically 7-10 years of systems engineering experience.

 This job can be filled in Charlotte,NC, Concord, CA, Richmond, VA or Dallas, TX.
REQUIREMENTS


Required Skills:

3-5+ years management experience;  Must have experience working on and managing technical support teams in a customer service & support function w/ expertise in Unix/Linux platforms, Solaris Unix/Redhat Linux,  SMTP/Sendmail Experience - troubleshooting, mail relay and routing.

Understanding of HTTP, HTTPS and XML, with LAN/WAN experience.

 

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Sigaba, LDAP, Scripting (PERL), iPlanet (iMS).

Experience with desktop (PC) technology and enterprise email products and services.  Knowledge of the Banking Industry and Federally Regulated laws surrounding email retention, data retention and reporting.
