Unix/Linux Systems Administrator
Purpose: Our client, a not-for-profit organization located in downtown Washington, DC is looking for a mid-level Unix/Linux systems administrator to join their team.
Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, as well as 2-4 years experience in administering Unix and Linux operating systems. Experience in monitoring in UNIX and/or Linux architecture is a major plus.
Thorough knowledge of customary Internet services (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS/BIND, SENDMAIL, TCP/IP, etc) are required, as is knowledge of PERL and other key scripting languages. Excellent oral and written communications and ability to work independently and cooperatively with others required. Experience with Oracle RDBMS, F5 BigIP, Veritas Cluster and Volume Manager, Cold Fusion are pluses.Classification:Contract-to-HireCompensation:
