Unigraphics NC Programmer

Purpose: Use Unigraphics NX3 software to prepare CNC programs for multi-axis milling machines. Layout and coordinate tool design and perishable tooling for machined parts from conception to production. Attend planning meetings to define production techniques and to assure production readiness.

Develop CNC programs to control contour path machining of parts on 3, 4, 5, and 6 axis machines. Analyze part drawings, sketches and design data to determine dimensions and configuration of cuts, select cutting tools, machine feeds and speeds according to established shop practices or to new methods and materials as required. Develop wire-frame and solids models as required to assist in programming effort.

Produce operator instruction sheets and tool listings to guide setup and machine operation. Verify programs prior to release for production. Assist Manufacturing in all phases of production proofing during initial production, and as required during production phases. Use Vericut (version 5.44) or other simulation software to electronically proof the program.Classification:ContractCompensation:
