JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide Tier 1 Cisco Router troubleshooting for Cingular's national networks

Technical Environment: Enterprise Cisco Routers-7600, 7200 and 3800 series, Remedy ticketing system, MS Office

Contractor's Specific Role
Provide Tier 1 troubleshooting for Enterprise Cisco routers within our customer?s national voice and data networks. Each technician will be assigned a set of routers or a portion of the network to monitor. As alarms come up, they will create a trouble ticket in the Remedy trouble ticketing system and then will do basic troubleshooting to try to resolve the issue. Any issue that can't be closed out will be escalated to the Tier 2 team for resolution. The network operations center has 60+ technicians from the voice, data and server teams all working together for issue resolution on their customer networks. There are 4 different shifts that will need to be filled: Front Half Days: Sunday-Alt. Wed. 6am to 6pm (3 days one week, 4 days the next) Back Half Days: Alt. Wed.-Saturday 6am-6pm Front Half Nights: Sunday-Alt. Wed. 6pm to 6am Back

Half Nights: Sunday-Alt. Wed. 6pm to 6am They will start out with 1-2 weeks of training on an 8am-5pm shift, then will move to their regular shift at the end of training.

Typical work hours: 6-6 maybe some overtime

Expected Duration of Assignment: 3 months Type of Position: Temp-To-Perm

Pay starts at $17.00/hr+ depending on Education and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical skills essential for this assignment: (Prioritize importance most to least) 1-3+ years experience with Cisco Router support and troubleshooting

Pluses: Remedy ticket creation and updates, Wireless network knowledge, CCNA/CCNP (not required)
