Test Performance Engineer

Purpose: Our client is seeking a Test Performance Engineer for their Princeton location.

Day to day candidate will be responsible performing load and stress tests utilizing tools such as SilkPerformer, and focusing on application and system behavior from a black box perspective. Load and Stress testing tools are employed to ensure that the application will be able to support the current and anticipated workloads on the deployed application, predict system performance and behavior under load, and identify the technical and functional failure points. The Test Performance Engineer shall create test scenarios to be executed within the testing environment. Candidate must also be able to analyze and evaluate test results, and make recommendations to the project teams.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for many variations of performance tests including but not limited to load testing, stress testing, and endurance testing as follows:

Load Testing - Modeling the behavior of users in the real world. Develop test scripts that mimic the behaviors that users commonly perform, and include think-time delays and arrival rates reflective of those observed in the real world.
Stress testing - Load testing with the user think-time delays removed.
Endurance testing - Long-duration load or stress test.


This position is scheduled as a 6 month contract.
