Telecommunications Circuit Analyst

MSD is an employee-owned company of over 600 professionals who support the diverse technical, scientific, and administrative needs of the Federal government. We are currently searching for an experienced Telecommunications Circuit Analyst to support one of our clients. This opportunity is permanent, full-time, and on site in Washington, DC.

Under general supervision, employee is responsible for drafting circuit orders on behalf of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Infrastructure Engineering Services. Investigates requirements and requests received from customers to make changes to the ICE WAN network and determines if the requests are justified. Provides technical role as an interface between internal ICE Infrastructure Engineering Services departments, Department of Justice Telecommunication Service Staff, and the major telecommunication carriers. Provide Pre and Post engineering for network design solutions using network associated tools. Provide support to Network Operations Center (NOC) that includes troubleshooting and identification of issues effecting network implementation. , Coordinates with vendors and in-house departments for all new circuit and hardware installations nationwide and internationally. Possesses strong analytical skills, be able to identify and resolve complex problems and issues arising from data communications and networking. Will also support administrative/clerk functions using independent judgment and resolving issues with minimal supervision. Support various help desks with clerical and administrative support, inventory control, logistic activities, answering phones, communicating with internal/external customers and ADP support personnel, logging trouble calls into circuit database, updating trouble tickets in REMEDY tool. Also, under general supervision, performs technical editing of and/or prepares & maintains systems documentation, including the creation, publishing, and updating of comprehensive frame relay network design drawings using the Visio tool. This position will report to the Telecommunications Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
One year of experience in data/producation control operations for an IT organization. Basic PC Skills are required. Must be proficient in MS Excel and MS Word. Experience in provisioning and ordering circuits.

Desired Skills:

DHS & DOJ experience; Ciso and Microsoft certifications preferred.

Must Haves:
Candidate must be a US citizen, and able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Educational Qualifications:
4 Year College Degree is desired but not required.
