Technology Risk Manager

Manages the enterprise risk management function for various business units within HSBC Bank Nevada, N.A. and HSBC Card Services, considered to be among the largest and most complex Group companies competing in the most volatile financial services industry in North America. Managers are responsible for managing the enterprise risk activities including compliance, transaction, credit, information technology, strategic, reputation, financial reporting and operational risk for larger and/or more complex business units within the organization.

job Requirements


Minimum of eight years of proven and progressive risk management experience in financial services industry, preferably credit card lending, with at least three years of direct experience participating in regulatory examinations.Wide scope of business knowledge, including product, operations, systems and organization, and full understanding of all significant enterprise risk and regulatory requirements applicable to the organization.Proven ability to interpret new laws and regulations and how to integrate required changes into business processes and procedures with maximum effectiveness and business efficiency.Proven ability in analyzing business processes, defining and assessing a full spectrum of business risk and defining risk responses that are appropriate and balanced in relation to the quantity of risk assumed.Proven ability in analyzing control effectiveness and implementing control enhancements or process modifications with maximum effectiveness and business efficiency.Thorough understanding of audit techniques, regulatory examination, and COSO Enterprise Risk Management principles.Superior: leadership skills; verbal, written and interpersonal skills; presentation and project management skillsBachelor’s degree or MBA / gj-hh
