Job Description:
Level 2 Technical Support Engineer with Microsoft SQL Server skills for hosted enterprise Software Company. We are seeking a flexible individual who can work closely with product developers, professional services and QA to diagnose problems, find solutions, and keep valued clients satisfied.

Specific responsibilities include:
Writing end-user documentation for software releases.
Responding to ad-hoc requests for reports and other information contained within various databases.
Assisting other members of the engineering team to trouble-shoot and diagnose issues.
Performing Quality Assurance functions as needed especially during the final weeks of each new software release.
Documenting actions taken to solve customer issues in a tracking database.
Developing common question and answer documentation to be included in a department knowledge base.
Managing the product feature request database used to help define new features.
Providing training for new customers and employees.

Requirements:
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Samples of previous written work will be requested.
Strong database skills are desired. Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred.
Able to work independently and multi-task.
Meticulous and detail-oriented.
Able to take the initiative in resolving customer or application-related issues.
Able to explain technical information in non-technical terms.
Able to work in a team environment, with internal and external customers.
Able to write HTML, JavaScript, and Microsoft ASP code - Visual Basic experience desirable.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.
A minimum of 2-3 years professional experience in web-based application support.
