Technical Specialist 2

opportunities are constantly arising within our organization!We are currently recruiting for the position of: TECH. SPECIALIST 2Summary Monitors, tests and restores data services. This will include, but not
limited to Frame Relay, ATM, IP/VPN Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint Data.
Maintains customer data networks managed by DeltaCom. Provides second level
support to first level technicians. Provides circuit testing using Hekimian,
React 2001, and other test resources. This will include, but is not be limited
to, the testing of DS0, DS1, DS3, OC3 and OC12 circuits. Coordinates maintenance
activity with LECs, IXCs, CLECs and DeltaCom technicians. Participates in OJT
program to provide training and enhance job skills. Provides status reports as
requested. Accesses and utilizes various databases for the purpose of
identifying elements of a data circuit. Interprets circuit routing and Network
configurations. Utilizes Remedy Ticket System to track maintenance activities.
Other duties and projects as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED and an Associate degree
in Electronics or related field preferred. Minimum of two years related
experience. Experience with Lucent or Nortel Passport Frame/ATM networks or
Cisco IP networks a plus. A good understanding of one or more of the following:
Frame Relay, ATM , TCP/IP , HP OpenView, UNIX operating system commands.
Knowledge of office automation software such as, MMI language , MS Word , Lotus
Notes , PowerPoint, DOS, Windows, and UNIX based workstations preferred.
