Technical Analyst - UNIX/Linux

Cintas is currently looking for a Technical Analyst - Unix/Linux for the Technical Support Team within MIS. The primary function of the Technical Analyst - Unix/Linux is the design, configuration, implementation and support of enterprise systems. The Technical Analyst is responsible for: providing Tier I and II technical support to ensure operational service level agreements are being met; providing off hours support should a computer system or critical component fail; maintaining an effective disaster recovery plan for the environment and participating in the disaster recovery exercises; monitoring of systems for capacity and response in order to ensure a positive end user experience; staying current on existing technologies as well as emerging technologies within their discipline; carrying out functional and assigned project tasks through participation on project teams and through direct service requests; presenting technical issues and solutions in terms of the business and business value; performing detailed analysis and documentation of installed technical systems; managing small to mid-size internal projects utilizing standard processes and able to design/recommend new processes when required; and working independently on a day to day basis while planning and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and participating in a team environment. The Technical Analyst - Unix/Linux must be flexible with their work hours and be willing to work a non-standard shift if necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline is preferred Minimum of 4 years experience installing and supporting Unix-based infrastructure applications, hardware and operating systems Minimum of 3 years experience installing and supporting Linux RedHat infrastructure applications, hardware and operating systemsMinimum of 4 years experience supporting end users Minimum of 3 years experience designing, implementing and supporting backup solutions for the Unix/Linux environmentsMinimum of 1 year experience supporting BEA WeblogicExperience in short and long term capacity planning to meet organizational requirements, a plusExperience supporting one of the following major databases - Oracle or MS SQL Server, a plusExperience with VMWare ESX Server, a plusExperience supporting clustered, load balanced, high availability, and continuous availability solutions, a plusProfessional certifications (e.g. RHCT, RHCE, RHCA, RHCSS, IBM, CISCO, ORACLE, EMC, VCA), a plusExperience in SAN, NAS and iSCSI technologies, a plusVendor management experience, a plus
