CDI has an Immediate Need for a Technical Analyst
Job Description:

This position will be part of a senior level team within the Level 2 support organization. The main focus will be on tracking, monitoring, and escalating technology based branch outages. A strong network/computer hardware background (see below) is essential for this position. Additionally, excellent communication and written skills are necessary. Written communications will be regularly viewed by senior management and must be grammatically correct, complete and consistent. Candidates for this position must be able to efficiently and accurately facilitate communications among various groups and provide timely updates for current and past outages to senior management and clients.

This position will be charged with producing regular reports to senior management (EVP+). Candidates must have strong sense of customer service and understand the urgency of an issue in order to properly escalate up the chain of command and drive resolution. Strong project management/organizational skills and follow through are key to being successful in this role.

Required:

• Flexible schedule. Hours of operation are 4am - 7pm Pacific time. Candidates must be willing to work a set shift within this time frame. Also, there is a rotating, 24x7 on-call responsibility where one team member is on call after hours for a week at a time.
• 3+ years experience working in a hardware support capacity in a multi-user client/server environment, or 2 to 3 years experience in information systems technology, with experience in system architecture, microcomputer systems, and system integration.
• Solid knowledge of processes and procedures utilized in diagnosing and resolving hardware/network issues in a desktop computing environment.
• Solid knowledge of network topology, remote connection services, Microsoft Office Applications, Lotus Notes, Windows operating systems, Internet browsers, and AS400 terminal emulation.
• Familiarity with LAN network cabling.
• Analytical skills sufficient to determine the source/resolution of problems of a highly complex nature.
• Oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate with others of varying technical abilities at all levels within and outside the company.
• Ability to act as a team member in resolving problems and completing projects.
• Ability to act individually and as part of a team to resolve problems and complete projects.
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to deal with clients who are often frustrated and upset with a positive and helpful attitude.
• Ability to work under the constraints of strict deadlines and time pressures.
• Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task.
