Systems Support Specialist

Goucher College is seeking a Systems Support Specialist. This position is 65% systems administrator and 35% help desk/field support. Duties include: setup and maintenance of Microsoft and non-Microsoft server technologies; maintaining campus workstation and server security, including antivirus; resolving trouble tickets; and assisting with help desk duties. This position will require 24/7 on call support on a rotating basis. Requirements include: three years experience with Windows XP and Server 2003 in a Windows Enterprise Environment including knowledge of AD/LDAP and Office 2003 Suite. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills in networking, software, and hardware. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; professional certifications; previous experience in an academic environment; experience administrating the following Microsoft server products: SQL, SMS, WSUS, MOM, SharePoint, IIS, Great Plains; Windows scripting; and experience with ePolicy Orchestrator; VM Ware; Mac OS X; and SCT products.
