We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join our IT team in Southington, CT.



The scope of the position is to design, develop and implement existing ERP systems and various web-based applications.



REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Planning and performing analysis to guide the design, implementation and/or improvement of an existing ERP system and company websites.
Developing data requirements and design specifications and translating them into systems designs.
Writing, translating and coding software programs and applications according to specifications.
Designing, running and monitoring software performance tests on new and existing programs.
Developing and maintaining user manuals and guidelines and training end users to operate new or modified programs.
Conducting research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
Recommending, scheduling, installing and performing software improvements and upgrades.
Compiling and writing documentation of program development and subsequent revisions.
Consulting with managers, technical personnel and various departments to clarify program intent, identify problems and suggest changes.
Performing revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
Collaborating with business units and end users to understand workflow processes and business requirements.The person we’re looking for………………

Candidates must have 2 years progressive experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position. Candidates must also have experience with and working knowledge of:

Linux/Unix
CSS
Perl
XML, SQL, HTML
Apache
Graphics, streaming media, Web 2.0

Preferred experience and education includes a programming degree and/or certification(s), Mason and Open Source experience.
