Systems Analyst Programer 3

Job Title: SYSTEMS ANALYST 3 Educational & Experience Requirements: Bachelors degree, preferably in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Mathematics. Recommended minimum of 2 - 3 years of practical experience with proven analytical abilities. General knowledge of information systems concepts & detailed knowledge in at least one key business process or application. Provide analysis and business solutions to the business community by developing required software. Provide technical knowledge and training to the business community in support of computer systems and related business processes. Develop and implement new systems and processes to improve customer service and to provide cost effective solutions for Deltacom’s competitive advantage. Provide programming support by modifying, testing, and debugging existing systems and services. Provide technical leadership in working with junior members of the department. Job Description: Perform multiple programming tasks of an average to complex nature. Interact with business clients to identify requirements and resolve average to complex operational issues. Be responsible for all deliverables of medium size projects with little or no assistance. Assist in preparing detailed specifications. Analyze simple to average programming problems. Produce robust, well documented and well designed code. Analyze and resolve technical problems of simple to average difficulty with minimal assistance. Train business clients on supported software. Use knowledge of information systems to positively influence the design and content of assigned projects. Use Six Sigma quality tools to analyze, measure and improve technical solutions and business processes. Key Accountabilities: Works independently with limited supervision and average assistance from other team members. Prepare detailed analysis of the technical problem to be solved including database design, process charts, network implications, impact to business processes, and estimate for the level of effort required to provide the solution. Provide technical solutions in developing software which are robust, efficient, and easy to maintain once in production. Solve average to complex technical problems with minimal supervision. Take responsibility for project schedules and quality of deliverables for assigned projects. Write, test, debug all programs using the most efficient solutions and tools available. Ensure that programming is efficient, well documented, contains appropriate error controls, and follows good information systems practices and/or Deltacom internal audit standards. Prepare required documentation following generally accepted standards. Use knowledge of both technical solutions and business processes to effectively train users on supported software. Use Six Sigma quality tools to determine process improvements which reduce Deltacom’s administrative costs. Design tests, submit results and work with business clients to ensure total satisfaction with deliverables.
