Systems Analyst-IT Operations

Field Office Location: TYSONSWe are seeking an eager, self-motivated, flexible Systems Analyst to join our IT Operations department. This position will be responsible for the support of mission-critical computer equipment. Supports computer operations technology plans and procedures for the business groups in USA TODAY (Advertising, Circulation, and Editorial) USA TODAY.com and other Gannett business units. Provides day-to-day IT services, which include performing scheduled system monitoring, process and application verification, system backups, problem analysis and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues, program configuration modifications, problem escalation and communications to affected users, departments and business units.
Teamwork and flexibility are necessary, given the 24 hours a day, 7 day a week work schedule. The candidate must be willing to take his/her turn working in the rotation of a critical night shift and Sunday shift, along with on-call duties that are shared among the staff. BS degree in computer sciences is required. We provide a learning environment with an extensive in-house training program.Regular shift may be Sunday through Thursday 3 PM to 11:30 PM.
