Systems Analyst II

The Core Operations team scope includes all operational aspects of building and managing the environments for a large scale application development project.

The candidate that receives this position will be responsible for, but not limited to refining and planning the work for the continuous development and testing build process. This person will be the PolicyPro Build Master. As the build master you will be expected to develop the software release management strategy and the ?go live? production build process. Must work closely with production deployment and infrastructure planners to forecast necessary hardware etc for a successful production roll-out of PolicyPro. This person will also be expected to coordinate with other team members to refine the build process for the development teams and coordinate/communicate with the applications development managers all improvements and changes to the process including Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
Requires significant experience in these areas: Large system applications development, ability to plan strategically and deliver tactical solutions, continuous build development experience or experience defining, creating and managing a nightly or continuous build and deployment systems, min. of 4-6 years of applications development and min. of 3 years of iterative Web development experience, web server infrastructure, Tools - Visual Source Safe (VSS), C# in .Net, NANT and Cruise Control, Win Server 2000 and 2003, IIS v5 and v6 knowledge.
Preferred skills - Insurance Industry background would be a plus, Agile Web development Functional Integration Testing (FIT), Serena Dimensions, NUNIT, NCOVER, MS SQL Server, and Build Farm.

This job is involved in reviewing, analyzing, and designing IT systems in support of the organization's application development goals. Uses substantial knowledge of computer systems, relational databases, and interfacing systems to make recommendations about proposed or modified IT systems to management, IT technical staff, and/or various Business Areas within the Company. Recommendations are used to clarify objectives and propose improvements to current and future IT systems and/or system capabilities that affect the way the Company conducts business, and/or interactions with external customers. Analyzes and produces technical documentation to describe program development logic, coding, and modifications.

This professional job family requires incumbents to have a College degree or significant experience (typically at least 8 years) as an individual contributor in a professional information technology role (typically as a Programmer, Software Developer, or Software Engineer). Incumbents should also have skills/competencies necessary to interpret, extract, and manipulate technical computer systems data (typically code or systems logic) from technical sources, proactively identify and forecast technical trends, and develop and present various solutions and recommendations. Able to effectively communicate and translate recommendations to various audiences including architects, developers, management, and business customers.
