Join us and find the career of a lifetime.The Systems Administrator is responsible for all Information Systems within and interfacing with the Division of Traumatology & Surgical Critical Care and PennSTAR Flight Programs. Responsibilities include day-to-day information systems operations for all network sites which include: 3440 Market St., 2 Dulles, 10 Ravdin, 2 Silverstein, 12, Silverstein, Ground Rhoads, PennSTAR I - Wings Airport, PennSTAR II - Brandywine Air Force Base, PennSTAR III - Allentown, PennSTAR IV - Reading, and PennSTAR V - Carbon County. This includes, but is not limited to, installation, troubleshooting and maintaining all Information Technology equipment and software. The Network Administrator is available 24/7 to cover crucial Trauma/PennSTAR. The incumbent trains all administrative, clinical and support staff within Trauma/PennSTAR.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Healthcare or a minimum of six years or more in client server applications, computer hardware/software configuration and knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, internet protocols, and emulation programs. Minimum of three years experience in a health care setting. Must have strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to interact with clinical team. Individual must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must keep current with the technical developments in new platforms and software applications and have the motivation to research the application of new technologies to improve office automation efficiencies. Must be an effective communicator and negotiator when dealing with all levels of UPHS personnel. Problems must be promptly identified and resolved in a timely fashion. Must be able to work under strict deadlines and work plans. Position requires flexibility and travel to all network sites.
