Systems Administrator II

Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications.

. Develops, designs, codes, benchmark tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs.
. Customizes purchased applications
. Maintains up to date knowledge about systems supplied by the vendors.
. Supports and installs software/hardware applications.
. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.
. Analyzes current systems software, proposed modifications, and new software for impact of procedures and standards.
. Evaluates new and existing software products.

KEY DIFFERENCES:
· Operates under general supervision.
REQUIREMENTS
. Bachelor's degree required, related experience may substitute for formal education on a year for year basis.
. 4 years work related experience.
. Competent to work on most phases of software/hardware systems programming applications, but requires instruction and guidance in other areas.
