Systems Administrator

Telematch, a computer service bureau specializing in data/database services, is seeking a Systems Administrator.

The Systems Administrator plays a key role in the Telematch Systems team. Responsibilities of the Systems Administrator include:

(1) Upgrading servers and special purpose equipment;
(2) Installing, monitoring, troubleshooting and restoring systems;
(3) Installing and debugging networks;
(4) Providing general systems support to users and external customers.
(5) Recommending policies and strategies for development of the department to include development and maintenance of the company's website and software needed for the company's operations.

REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience and skills required include:

(1) Ability to use UNIX and Windows commands to manage, run and troubleshoot systems and networks.
(2) Solid knowledge of Linux and Solaris administration required; Microsoft Windows administration experience desirable.
(3) Must have networking experience in UNIX and TCP/IP; Microsoft Windows and Active Directory experience desirable.
(4) Ability to write and debug shell scripts; PERL experience preferred.
(5) Ability to handle constantly changing requirements and priorities.
(6) Ability to work effectively in a group environment while promoting teamwork.
(7) Ability to effectively convey ideas through verbal and written communications.
(8) Skills in website design and implementation needed.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 3-5 years related experience in Linux, Solaris or UNIX or an equivalent combination of training and experience in a technical data processing position.
