Systems Administrator

•Performs Microsoft Windows workstation installation, configuration, and administration.•Performs user and group administration.•Performs system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.
•Maintains and manages the application development QA environment.•May assist in the testing of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
•Works from specifications to assist in implementation and configuration of applications developed by the company.
•Responds to and diagnoses problems reported through trouble ticket system. Includes problem recognition, research, isolation, and resolution steps.•Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.
•Regularly scheduled after-hours on-call responsibilities.•Other duties assigned by Manager
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s degree preferred in Software Engineering or Information Science.
•At least 2 years of Microsoft Windows (2000, XP) installation, configuration, and Active Directory administration or related experience.•At least 2 years experience troubleshooting PC and server software/hardware/network issues.
•A+ Certification or similar is preferred.
•Strong troubleshooting skills.
•Strong communication skills.
