Operations at IKEA IT provide IKEA with a reliable, yet flexible operation of the information system. With its 350 co-workers worldwide Operations secures that all IKEA applications run and are supported to meet the user needs.We at Operations, Global production, are looking for system Managers to join our J2EE platform support teams, monitoring and performance team.Recruits will start as trainees 3-6 months in Älmhult, Sweden, later to be merged into different System Manager roles in Philadelphia, United States.The responsibility consists of installations, maintenance, problem/incident handling, configuration, verification and support. This applies to WebSphere software and Oracle Application Server as well as support running applications on the platforms. For Monitoring and Performance this also applies to monitoring framework consisting of mostly Patrol products
REQUIREMENTS
Competence/Knowledge:
System Manager J2EE PlatformKnowledge of/in:
WebSphere and/or Oracle Application Server or similar
Operating systems - (Unix)

Scripting or C-languagePreferred background is a degree in Computer science.Capabilities/Motivation:
As a System Manager you also need to:
Be structured and understand the ITIL based processes such as Change Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management etc.
Be able to work independently but also in team and together with colleges at other IT offices.
Have competence to act in order to achieve the expected quality in line with IKEA cost consciousness.
Be service minded with creative problem solving skills and ability to put the user in focus.
Have good communication skills both verbally and in writing
Be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities with a holistic mind and a sense for details.
Be able to adapt to new challenges and demands, both technical changes and new ways of working. Take own initiatives to make things happen.
Act and behave, in line with decided goals and according to planned procedures, to achieve results and reach the goals.
