Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or the equivalent level of industry experience
3+ years experience with:
>Intel and AMD based servers and workstations, experience with Compaq/HP Proliant series servers preferred.
>Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2000 Advanced Server.
>Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server and Enterprise Edition Server .
>Solid knowledge of Windows 2003 domain/forest structures, migration from Windows 2000 to 2003, W2k3 active directory, and domain/forest functional levels. Direct experience with Windows 2003 and Windows 2003 x64 a plus.
>Practical, hands on experience with design and implementation of Microsoft DNS.
>Practical hands on experience with administration of with Microsoft WINS.
>Practical hands on experience with administration of Microsoft DHCP.
>Practical hands on experience with Microsoft Systems Management Server.
>Practical hands on experience with Microsoft Operations Manager.
>Experience with development, testing, deployment, and support of Group Policies in an enterprise size environment. Experience with Quest's Management products a plus.
>Experience and knowledge of active directory, global catalog, sites, and replication
>Solid knowledge of Microsoft security best practices, security fixes, patches, and hotfixes.
>NTFS file system and file/folder permissions
>Performance analysis and troubleshooting using Perfmon, file tracing, and registry tracing tools.
>Network traffic analysis using network tracing tools such as NetMon
>NTLM trusts and authentication
>Kerberos trusts and authentication
>Thorough knowledge and experience with unattended/automated server build processes. Experience with Altiris Express a plus.
> User authentication processes
Candidate should be trained and possess a comprehensive working knowledge of technologies listed above.
Candidate has practical working experience with these technologies in a production environment including development and testing, management/administration, and support/troubleshooting.
Candidate must have design experience with these technologies including integration in a corporate environment.
Candidate involved with implementing and supporting these technologies.
Candidate must have excellent technical writing skills and the desire to create detailed documents.
Candidate must be professional, flexible, able to work in a team atmosphere

Responsibilities:
Develop, test, document, and pilot new architectures in office and/or manufacturing environment.
Develop, test, and document procedures to retrofit existing implementations with new hardware and/or software.
Develop, test, and document procedures to migrate systems from existing platforms to newly developed platforms.
Assist in developing and documenting test processes and procedures.
Work with other development team members to integrate technology components into a functional system.
Provide subject matter expert level of technical knowledge and expertise to management and project leaders.
Apply critical thinking to project needs, help match technology to project objectives, and prepare design proposals (recommendations).
Work directly with internal customers from manufacturing or office environments to understand customer needs, and adapt designs.
Work with support staffs as needed to provide subject matter expert level knowledge and expertise in support of troubleshooting efforts.
Provide regular status updates of progress on assigned tasks.
Participate in pilot deployments of new architectures and systems in manufacturing and office environments
Amount of travel per year: 25%
