This is an onsite contract position that is set to last through 2007. This Position is going to move fast. Resumes MUST be submitted before 5pm, Wednesday September 13th. This candidate must have outstanding oral/written communications skills. In this position anticipate involvement in incident and problem management activities associated with core systems monitoring technologies as well as implementation of service requests for Application Instrumentation. Technologies referenced below. (OV = OpenView) OV Operations Unix/Windows: template development; adding/changing managed nodes; diagnosis of agent connectivity issues; Unix/Windows system user proficiency.
OV Internet Services: probe target configuration; HTTP_TRANS probe recording and customization; probe server setup and configuration; alert integration with OV Operations.
OV Performance Insight: maintenance of data collection, aggregation, and archiving; adding/changing managed nodes; creating new reports.
OV Service Information Portal: creating new roles and views, and customization of existing views; adding new users; creating simple HTML web page content. Required Skills: 1 HP OpenView Operations UNIX Strong/Superior
