Strategic Program Leadership Project Manager
Purpose:

Department Description: The IT Strategy, Architecture, and eBusiness team is looking for an energetic individual capable of program management, project management and relationship building for short and long-term projects. Applicant must be able to work as a member and leader of a highly-skilled program manager resource team providing program management services to multiple customers and for multiple projects across Motorola. Applicant skill-set must include the ability to research effectively, communicate with internal & external customers/suppliers (verbal and written), build & manage relationships, document requirements efficiently, manage simultaneous projects, understand business drivers, and present well to senior leadership teams. Strong interpersonal skills and solid strategic thinking are requirements for this position.
Responsibilities/Expectations: 1.Able to lead a high caliber team in a dynamic and complex environment, including management of budget and staff priorities
2.Excels in coalescing ambiguity into firm action plans
3.Able to quickly understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities
4.Is able to align and communicate product, project, and organization capabilities with the customer/client/market/feature requirements (verbal and written).
5.Takes initiative in driving execution of project procedures and objectives, and implements corporate initiatives.
6.Partner with various 3rd party organizations to ensure project objectives are being met.
7.Possess the ability to creatively balance and align the project team’s focus based on the tactical business objectives of all project stakeholders
8.Is able to lead and direct resources to successfully meet the plan.
9.Fosters the development of a common vision, provides clear direction and priorities.
10.Successfully achieves project goals while being aware of, and sensitive to, the overall business goals.
11.Tracks and communicates status and other metrics against goals on an on going basis.

Knowledge Skills: 1.Minimum 5+ years IT experience across multiple functions.
2.Minimum of ten years of project-related experience
3.Minimum of five years of experience in Project Management
4.Minimum of three years of hands-on experience managing projects using popular tools for schedule and/or resource management. Primavera TeamPlay Project Manager experience a plus.
5.A sound understanding of Project Management principles and methods
6.Excellent written and verbal communication skills
7.Able to develop and present complex material effectively to a variety of audiences – technical and non-technical, staff, management and leadership.
8.Proven ability to perform gap analysis between existing & proposed solutions, including current business requirements.
9.Ability to analyze and drive initiatives to determine ROI & TCO of a given product/solution.
10.The ability to prioritize issues and drive projects forward in ambiguous/difficult situations.
11.Strong skills in leading/managing/organizing virtual teams and partners managing the operational implementation.
12.Project management certification desired
