Basic Functions and Responsibilities: **Exempt**In consultation with senior statistical user area staff, senior staff from other ETS user areas, and group leader, formulates scope and objectives for one or more phases of complex statistical systems and computer programs. Gathers, organizes and documents user requirements and specifications for these systems and programs.In consultation with senior statistical systems and/or measurement staff, formulates and implements computer-based technologies to support completion of complex data analysis projects.Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains complex statistical programs and utilities. Based on user feedback, implements complex program modifications or delegates routine modifications to other staff.Updates existing complex systems, programs and utilities to incorporate new functionality or methodologies. Revise documentation as necessary.Researches and communicates with others new developments in computer algorithms, scientific computing methodologies, technologies and solutions. Attends professional conferences and seminars and maintains contact with other statistical systems professionals.May participate on corporate and/or division-wide teams as statistical systems and data analysis/programming resource, by providing specifications for new or revised systems, representing statistical analysis area user requirements, and helping with programming activities.Pro-actively works toward shorter cycle time, reduced costs, greater customer satisfaction and quality maintenance.Prepares cost/time/resource estimates for planned systems analysis, data analysis and programming work.Consults with other statistical systems analysts/programmers and senior statistical users to provide guidance in designing, running and troubleshooting complex systems, programs and utilities.Prepares and presents statistical systems and data analysis technologies training materials/seminars to area staff.Apply Info: Internal:Please send cover letter and resume to [Click here for email]. REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Statistics, Math or Computer Science, or equivalent.Experience: Five to Eight years of statistical programming, data analysis, and/or statistical systems analysis experience using SAS, .NET, and/or FORTRAN. Working knowledge of MS Office. Database experience using SQL Server and/or Access is highly desirable.
