The candidate will be responsible for managing the hardware, software, and data storage related to the Transaction Solutions Hub technical infrastructure. There will be project work related to security, capacity, high availability, and other process improvements.Responsibilities also include configuration and support of customer?s data transmissions and general support. The work schedule is Monday ? Friday business hours and participation in an after hours on-call rotation.Position Description

Defines, designs, and implements network communications and solutions. Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the UNIX system. Manages load configuration of central data communication processor and makes recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks. Coordinates terminal orders and cable installation, network system planning, installing, monitoring, testing, and servicing. Approves action requests and specifies purchase requirement. Negotiates and places orders with common carriers. Trains employees on system procedures and proper utilization.Minimum Requirements

6+ years experience in UNIX systems administrationAdditional Knowledge & Skills

-- Project management experience
- Candidate must be proficient TCP/IP networking is also required.
- Experience with any of the following technologies is desired: HP-UX, Linux, MS Windows, Fiber Channel Storage Area Networks, HP MC/ServiceGuard, Linux Virtual Server, JBoss/Tomcat, Apache web server, HP OpenView Operations, HP OpenView Data Protector, Java Virtual Machine, VMWare.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with coworkers and customers.Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experiencePhysical Requirements
