Job Description:Ranger Technical Resources is in search of an outstanding candidate to fill the position of Sr.Tivoli Security Administrator located in the Jacksonville Florida area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Install and upgrade application software and tools. This may be in conjunction with a larger project team.
•Assist in the design and implementation of applications
•Monitor, tune, administer and maintain applications.
•Assist in the designing, testing, development, and implementation of effective backup and restore techniques at application level.
•Assist development team with data modeling, physical design and application tuning.
•Design, develop and test programs for monitoring, tuning and maintaining applications.
•Monitor and maintain security and data integrity.
•Participate in technical design reviews and recommend solutions and improvements.
•Manage the IT and end user relationship by direct contact with the end users in order to understand business needs and direction, anticipated IT support and end user expectations directly related to the products.
•Respond to production issue and problems both on a productive and reactive basis by appropriate methods in order to provide a high level of end user system access.
•Team with appropriate IT departments for system upgrades, enhancements and new software releases by using established communication methods in order to provide the most current level of application features to the end user.
•Conducts studies and investigations pertaining to development of new systems or enhancements to meet current or projected needs.
•Documents new, or modifies existing procedures to maintain backup and recovery standards and transfer of knowledge.
•Share on-call duties for application support.
•Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
Education:Four (4) year degree in Computer Science or equivalentExperience: At least four (4) years of Enterprise System Management Tools Administration. At least six (8) years of total IT experience.Skills: Administrative proficiency in most of the following:
(1) LDAP (2) UNIX Administration (3) Tivoli TAM (4) Scripting (shell, Perl)
